The B.C. government will increase the minimum wage to $10.85 per hour effective September 15, 2016. The 40 cent increase will move BC out of last place nationally for minimum wage. The current minimum wage is $10.45, the lowest in Canada.
Avoid CRA levied interest and penalties by filing and remitting payment on time:
IF a due date for filing a return falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or a public holiday recognized by the CRA, it is considered to be filed on time if it is sent on the next open business day.
If a due date for making a payment falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or a public holiday recognized by the CRA, it is considered to be paid on time if it is received on the next open business day.
